Each Esoteric Culture is centered on helping in betterly understanding the world.
In order to do so, proper models are provided for pigeonholing.
In order to interpret a whatever phenomenon, the best fitting model should be used in order to help by themself in understanding relationships between entities, since there are already been identified, analyzed and explained.
Model Classification
There are a lot of provided models. The best classification method is based on the number of elements forming the model.
Usually, a model is built on such a number of elements that is included in the Fibonacci Sequence:

Model Combination
Models should be used together, combining them.
In fact, the main property of Fibonacci Sequence is that the ratio (n+1)/n tends to φ (Golden Ratio) as 'n' increases. Combining 2 subsequent model leads to relationship directly related to "Golden Ratio". A common example is Feng-Shui, in which "5-Elements" and "Ba-Gua" models are applied, providing an interesting mapping model.
